Ruh Roh

Lique would seem to have her first activity related malady.  She has developed a condition known as plantar fasciitis which affects the heel and bottom of the foot.  We have taken a couple weeks off from cheer and karate which she had just started.  She has to rest and ice the foot as much as possible.  Have you ever tried telling a ten year old girl she has to stay off her feet as much as possible?  Welcome to my life for a few weeks. 

She is enjoying her time at the Boys and Girls Club these days.  I can tell because she is always a little bummed when I pick her up in the afternoon.  We went to a bonfire with friends last weekend.  Her first bonfire at the bay.  Not many folks showed up but it was a very nive evening any way.  She is reading like crazy which is a wonderful thing for me.  I am thrilled to see her love reading as much as I do.
